Candid World Report derives its name from Thomas Jefferson's introduction to the Declaration of Independence, in which, after he accuses King George III of "having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States," Jefferson declares: "To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world."
